Drive through the Sellraintal

These are the views as we drove home to Ober- perfuss through the Sellraintal. It was so beautiful that we had to stop the car often to take pictures. When we got home, Erica and Garth went out again on yet another walk because the light was so good and they wanted to walk up the hill and take in the views before the sun set. Garth said they got some Alpenglow.

Tamar and Ayelet drove to Bolzano today; they said they loved the Ötzi exhibit at the Archaeological Museum. Now they are busy in the kitchen making us a chocolate mousse.

Anita -- I missed a month of reading your blog and I missed your foot injury (had to go backwards to read what happened), the arrival of rental cat Mausi, and the very realistic Maulwurf Kuchen! Here in CA the magnolias and cherry plum blossoms are near the end of their blooms, but are being replaced by blooming crocuses, tulips, daffodils, freesias, and forsythia. This weekend Dan and I will plant our dinner-plate sized dahlias. For the first time in 3-4 years our "Volcano Queen" orchid from the Big Island of Hawaii is blooming in our kitchen window. Meanwhile some of Dan's upcoming vegetables are taking root in the same kitchen window: sugar snap pea shoots are already visible. Our cat Fiona has shed enough fur to make another cat as she changes her winter coat for her spring coat. Be sure to tell us when you see the crocuses or other spring flowers in the mountains!
Happy spring!
