Hey Barbara, we finally found our Brekkie-eater! Here she is. We don't know her name yet, but we know where she lives. Across the street from us. She seems to understand the word "Brekkies" because she runs to me when I call her and tell her that I have Brekkies for her. Yesterday she let me pet her and pick her up. But she is still a little shy.
I have met the old lady next door, she told me yesterday that her name is Luise. I gave her a couple pieces of Topfenkuchen that I made and she invited me in to her little cottage. It is really tiny and old-fashioned. She said it was originally a hunting cabin, and is more than 100 years old. She appreciated the cake and said she would make us Apfelstrudel in exchange. I gave her a couple pieces of my cheesecake earlier. She is very nice. She said the cat often comes to visit her, and indeed it seems very friendly towards her, because its own people are young and all work and as Frau Luise said, don't have much time for the cat. We are hoping to get to know them both much better.
